Abstract. The article discusses scaler device in dentistry that performs operations such as whitening, cleaning and treatment of teeth. It has been reported that the thinness of the nozzle tips when used with an ultrasound scaler devices is painless in clinical procedures and that the shape of the scaler tip significantly affects the curvature of the treated root surfaces. It is also said that the vibration patterns of dental ultrasound meter depend on the magnetostrictive or piezoelectric design of the device. At the end of the article there is a picture based on the principles of construction of innovative dental devices with magnetostrictive and piezoelectric properties.
