Anti-plagiarism policy

Plagiarism is the presentation of the language, thoughts, ideas, or expressions of another author as one's own original work.

The originality of the article should be 70%.
In the remaining 30% of cases, detection of the following is considered plagiarism:

  • use of materials without indicating the source;
  • the use of images, drawings, photographs, tables, graphs, diagrams and any other forms of graphic presentation of information without indicating the source;
  • use of images, drawings, photographs, tables, graphs, diagrams and any other forms of graphic representation of information published in scientific and popular publications without the consent of the copyright holder;
  • mualliflari yoki mualliflik huquqi egalari o‘z materiallaridan maxsus kelishuvsiz foydalanishni taqiqlagan materiallardan yozma ruxsatisiz foydalanish;
  • use without written permission of materials whose authors or copyright holders prohibit the use of their materials without special agreement;
The editors do not welcome an excessive number of citations, even properly executed. Reviews and other articles that, for objective reasons, require more citations, are considered by the editors of the journals on an individual basis.
Self-quoting is allowed only if the references to all sources are correctly formatted. If the author wants to publish a significant part of the material already published elsewhere, the article should clearly indicate where the submitted materials were published and what caused such a need.
Self-citation is allowed within reasonable limits in the introduction (literature review), in the description of research methods and in the section containing the results of the study.
Self-citation is NOT allowed in the final part of the article containing the conclusions and discussion of the results obtained during the study.

Checking materials for borrowing

All articles published in the journal "Science and Innovation" undergo a multi-stage check, according to the methodology developed by the publishing house, which includes the use of various tools.
Checking for uniqueness is carried out by the editors in three systems - Plagiarism.uz, AntiPlagiarism.NET and PlagiarismCheckerX.
Based on the analysis, a decision is made on the possibility or impossibility of publishing the article.
In case of a negative decision, the publishing house informs the author about this, providing a list of borrowings that were found.

Identification of techniques that artificially increase the uniqueness of the text

The editors strongly do not recommend the use of any technique to increase the level of originality of the text. The editors have sufficient technical and methodological base to identify all such techniques.
We inform you that articles in which signs of technical modifications are found in order to artificially increase the uniqueness of the text are not published in journals (even if revised). If the publication of the article has already been paid for, the money for the publication is not returned.

Duplicate publications

Articles submitted for publication in journals should not be under consideration in other journals at the time of receipt. If the material submitted by the author has already been fully or partially published earlier, the author undertakes to inform the editors about it, as well as to justify the need for such publication. All such cases are decided on an individual basis. In case of detection of publications that completely or partially duplicate articles of journals, the editors reserve the right to withdraw (retract) such an article.
