Abstract. The approximation of training conditions to real combat activity is the most important prerequisite for high–quality training of troops and the key to successful actions of personnel in various combat situations. It is possible to assess the degree of readiness of military personnel and the quality of such training only practically at specially prepared training places, the main of which is a psychological obstacle course. By introducing this element into the practice of training troops, it is possible to solve a whole range of tasks of combat, psychological, and other types of training.
