Abstract. Most medical research requires long-term monitoring of the patient's condition, which is associated with the need to use automated systems for recording biomedical signals, processing them to assess functional changes in the body and analyzing large amounts of data to form a strategy for the treatment process.
Biosignals are physical manifestations of the physiological processes of a living organism, which can be measured and presented in a form convenient for further processing. Processing of biosignals is carried out in order to highlight informative features for medical diagnostics.
This article analyzes the characteristics of bioelectric signals.
Keywords: biometric signals, digital signals, signal processing, electroencephalogram, electrocardiogram, electromyogram, electrooculogram, electroretinogram, electrogastrogram.
