Abstract. This article discusses the role of a teacher in a short-term form of teaching foreign languages. The forms of education are revealed, characterized by a practical orientation, which is realized in teaching a specific type of speech activity - an oral form of communication, the main attention is paid to the formation of speech skills and abilities, the organization of all types of active speech practice in the educational process.
