Abstract. The article analyzes the role of Uzbek proverbs and sayings in linguistics,their differences and linguocultural and linguistic features .The role of proverbs and sayings in the development of modern Uzbek literary language ,the growth of language norms is taken as a main problem.The article illustrates the role of the individual in proverbs and parables in the world with examples.
