Abstract. The development and modernization of methods for analyzing the mechanical condition of power transformer windings remains an urgent task. The main reason for this is that many interruptions in the electrical system are caused by faults in the windings of power transformers. With this in mind, we have developed methods for analyzing the mechanical condition to overcome these shortcomings and recommend its application in practice. It should be noted that the assessment of the state of the number of coils by the method of frequency reaction analysis is the most promising direction in the field of packaging diagnostics, this method provides the best sensitivity to changes in the geometric dimensions of the packaging Training of diagnostic models in the educational process, mainly for graduate courses and masters, will further increase the reliability of the electrical system in the future.
