Abstract. The development of fishing and breeding of fish products is one of the important areas in ensuring food security. In this process, diseases arise that directly affect the productivity of fish, and it is important to study the causes, reproduction, life cycle of these diseases and take measures to combat them. The study of fish diseases in fish farming in the Surkhandarya region, where the climate is dry and hot and there are many natural reservoirs, is especially relevant today. In this article, by studying the scientific developments of foreign and domestic scientists, helminthiases of fish, their types, causes of occurrence, the life cycle of helminths, and the negative impact on fish are theoretically investigated. Research methods have been used to study the diseases of carp, grass carp and carp in the reservoirs of the Surkhandarya region, the causes of the occurrence of existing parasites and helminthiases have been established. In connection with the study of helminthiases in fish, conclusions, suggestions and recommendations have been developed.
