Abstract. Turkey’s relations with the Central Asian region have historical foundations, and there are common similarities between the countries both ethnically and religiously. Today, historical factors play an important role in the development and implementation of the modern foreign policy of this country in Central Asia. Its “soft power” potential in the region is mainly manifested in the fields of education, language, culture, and tourism. Turkey’s cooperation with the countries of the region in these areas is strengthened at the institutional level, and in terms of the influence of the “soft power” policy, it differs from one another on the example of individual countries.
