Abstract. The effect of the air-climate conditions of the Fergana Valley on road safety is studied. Fergana Valley is located among the mountains of Central Asia and is considered one of the largest mountain ranges (valleys) of Central Asia. It is surrounded by Tianshan and Hisar-Olai (Turkestan) mountain ranges in the north, Kurama and Chatkal mountain ranges in the north-west, and Fergana Mountain range in the north-east. The Fergana Valley is mainly located in the territory of the Republics of Uzbekistan (Namangan, Andijan, Fergana regions) and partly in the Republics of Kyrgyzstan (Osh, Jalalabad, Batken regions) and Tajikistan (Khojand region). The total area of the Fergana valley is 22 thousand km2, including the surrounding mountains, it occupies an area of 78 thousand km2, it stretches from west to east for 475 km, from north to south for 265 km.
