Abstract. Pedagogical advice plays a significant role in supporting future teachers in their journey to develop pedagogical skills. This critical article examines the effectiveness and limitations of pedagogical advice in preparing future teachers for the complexities of the classroom. Drawing upon research and scholarly discussions, we explore the potential benefits and challenges associated with pedagogical advice, the importance of context, the need for a balanced approach, and the role of reflective practice. By critically examining these aspects, we aim to provide insights into enhancing the effectiveness of pedagogical advice in developing the pedagogical skills of future teachers.
