Abstract. Chickenpox is a widespread infectious disease in children, characterized by high contagiousness. The value of chickenpox both in pediatric and infectious pathology and in infant mortality has increased in recent years. It should be noted that almost all people are susceptible to the smallpox virus, but most often the first episode of this disease occurs in children aged 1-7 years. Older children and babies suffer from chickenpox less often. This is due to the presence of antibodies in the blood, suppressing the activity of the virus and preventing its reproduction inside the body.
