Abstract. To date, the level of development of the algorithmic style of thinking of bachelors studying in the direction of "mathematics and computer science" is not only a means of managing those information objects that they will transform using an algorithm, but also a means of self-management, a way for them to independently regulate their practical and mental activities. The article presents some results of the author's research on the problem of the formation of algorithmic thinking of university students in the process of teaching object-oriented programming.
