Abstract. At present, the system of rapid and continuous education in the field of education is increasingly developing. Therefore, when explaining each topic, young schoolchildren need to abandon traditional methods and effectively use non-traditional methods. To educate a good specialist, of course, the teacher must also be a strong specialist. The "method of opposites" can be effectively used in all areas of physics, including the topics of radiation and decay, to convey to students the topic of alpha decay. The article describes the advantages of explaining the topic of alpha decay by the method of opposites.
