Abstract. In the ICP-MS study of macro- and microelements found in the underground and surface layers of the Echinops knorringianus plant, 44 elements were found in the plant. Elemental analysis showed that it is rich in sodium Na and potassium K, which are essential for life. The amount of free amino acids in the Echinops knorringianus plant was determined from FTK derivatives using the method of Stephen A, Cohen Daviel. Qualitative and quantitative analyzes of amino acids have been investigated. It has been found to contain 20 amino acids.
