Abstract. This article aims to provide the growing generation with thorough mastery of the processes of working with information technology tools and their effective use in the formation of information competence based on interdisciplinary communication among students of higher educational institutions. The scientific outlook of students of higher educational institutions, the ability to think logically, the formation of creative activity, mental development, self-awareness, and the growth of intellectual potential are largely related to the development of information competence.
