Abstract. In this article, the process of developing students' independent work competence is organized in the following stages. Under the guidance of a professor-teacher, students are strongly encouraged to organize independent work, to acquire and strengthen knowledge, and to develop creative activity during independent work is one of the most effective directions in the educational process.
