Abstract. Carp (Cyprinus carpio L.) is bred in all fish farms of the republic. This is a warm water fish. Germination requires water temperatures above 18oC. The range of food is very wide. Carp is a popular food item in Europe and many Asian countries. Carp is also important for inland waters, as it is an important target for commercial fisheries
