Abstract. Brief historical stages of the module-credit system its advantages. Consideration of convenient features of the transition to the module-credit system of higher educational institutions of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The process of obtaining knowledge for students and the aspects that they focus on when organizing independent education for them.
