Abstract. There are a large number of materials and technologies that make it possible to obtain selective coatings, but it is not yet clear which technology is optimal and most satisfies the requirements of a selective-absorbing coating for the solar spectrum. It follows from this that it is necessary to conduct more in-depth studies on selective-absorbing coatings. For this purpose, we have developed a mathematical model of the non-stationary process of heating and cooling a thin plate with a cermet coating.
