Abstract. In this article, the influence of the number of short fibers in a mixture of cotton fibers on the quality of yarn in technological processes of spinning has been studied. The influence of the number of short fibers on the amount of fiber yield in the production of yarn was studied and it was found expedient to take the smallest number of short fibers when accepting cotton fibrous raw materials for production.
