Abstract. The article talks about the artistic expression of the image of Mother in the short story genre of Uzbek literature. Common qualities of mothers in stories are explored. O'tkir Hashimov's "Works of the World", Isajon Sultan's "Onaizorim", and Guljahon Mardonova's "Quyoshim-enam" are analyzed.
