Abstract. The article is devoted to the semantic and stylistic features of the verbal vocabulary in the poetic text. The paper presents the works of famous linguists Apresyan Yu.D., Vinogradov V.V., Zinoviev E.I., etc. Semantic and stylistic features are analyzed on the example of O. O. Suleimenov's poetry. The author emphasizes that semantics and stylistics occupy a central place in the circle of linguistic disciplines, since the human language in its main function is a means of communication, a means of encoding and decoding certain information. The relevance of the article lies in the fact that, on the basis of modern scientific theory, the basic concepts, units and categories of semantics and stylistics were more strictly defined, the apparatus of semantic analysis was developed, and the prospects for the development of the science of the semantic structure of the language were outlined. The author notes that the development of stylistics, namely functional, is productive for the methodology of teaching the language and other applied industries.
