Abstract. The article deals with the question of the purpose of modern education. Which consists in establishing universal methods of action for working with large texts or stories using didactic materials. This approach is a means of obtaining an element of education. That is why it is essential to focus on creating a constructive educational process in which each student demonstrates the vividness of imagination, fantasy, comparison and association. It is important to develop creative thinking. For decades, the priority goal generally recognized in European pedagogy has been the development of rational, critical thinking. Therefore, in the current practice, attention is paid to the use of handouts in the reading lessons in the 4th grade.
