Abstract. This article talks about the great importance of didactic games in the process of teaching primary school students. The first periods of school after kindergarten play an important role in a child's life. Therefore, the period of primary education is the most critical period in the educational process. At this time, along with the literacy of the child, his worldview is formed, his thinking abilities develop. During this period, any activity aimed at the development of the child's psyche has a great influence on the composition and development of the child's psyche. Therefore, during this period, first of all, it is necessary to pay attention to the organization of the educational process in an interesting and effective way, to the creation of positive motives for learning and its development. Because this period is characterized by the transition of the child from play activity to intellectual activity, that is, to educational activity.
