Abstract. The purpose of writing a scientific article is to highlight the history of the development of fiber-optic communication lines in the modern period of development in the field of telecommunications, as well as to familiarize with the work carried out in this area in Uzbekistan. The main thing is to attract new personnel to the field through a scientific article.
